Gay rights forum held in Danbury

(07/17/03) DANBURY - About 50 people attended a forum in Danbury called "Until Marriage." The idea behind the forum was to inform same-sex couples that even though they are not legally married, they do have some rights.

Lawyers were on hand to answer questions about everything from hospital visitation rights to death papers between gay couples. The same-sex couples in attendance say the forum was extremely educational and provided them with useful tips for the future.

Gay couples say they hope the future includes a law that legalizes same-sex marriages in Connecticut.
