Yellow Dot safety program in Milford

(07/13/03) MILFORD - Nearly 100 seniors waited in line outside the Milford Senior Center to become a part of the Yellow Dot safety program.

Each senior smiled for a photo and filled out medical forms, which will be kept in their cars. They also received a yellow sticker for the car window to alert emergency officials that they are part of the program.

The yellow dot program is part of a broader safety effort between the Milford Police Department, People's Bank and the city's seniors. The program ensures that whoever responds on the scene will find updated medical information inside the senior's car.
