Police: Man attacked by group on Spruce Street in Stamford

Stamford police say a man was assaulted while walking down the street Wednesday night.



Police say the victim was walking along Spruce Street when 10 young men approached him and asked for the time. They say the victim was then attacked after showing the group that he was not wearing a watch.



News 12 is told the victim was treated for cuts and bruises at a hospital.



Police say a number of people have been assaulted recently by a group of young men on both the west and east sides of the city.
