Rain could impact holiday weekend
A flash flood watch is in effect through this evening as tropical moisture will produce periods of rain, locally heavy at times, though late this afternoon in southwestern Connecticut.
Hurricane Arthur poses no threat to the area, but Independence Day will be wet and humid. The high temperature will reach close to 80 degrees.
The remainder of the holiday weekend looks nice with sunshine, lower humidity and seasonable temperatures close to 80 degrees each afternoon.
