The former White House attorney found guilty of trying to kill his wife has rejected his family's efforts to bail him out of jail.



Court officials say John Michael Farren's brother went to the courthouse on Wednesday with money to pay Farren's bond, so he could be released until his sentencing.



However, officials say Farren rejected the offer.



 A jury convicted Farren last week after a short trial.
