Service held to remember murder victim Joseph Meyers
A Bridgeport church held a special service this weekend to bring attention to the recent violence in the city.
East End Baptist Tabernacle hosted the service yesterday.
It is just two blocks away from where Joseph Meyers was fatally shot in the head Wednesday.
The church's pastor, state Rep. Charlie Stallworth, says the community has to come together to curb all violence in the area.
Stallworth says getting teens in the area more involved with church activities is a start and could decrease crime.
