SoNo Entertainment and Recording Studio in Norwalk offers LIFT summer arts program for kids

A local recording studio is launching a summer arts program meant to keep kids safe and off the streets.
The four-week summer program began Tuesday at SoNo Entertainment and Recording Studio. The studio has acting lessons, singing lessons, production classes, engineering classes and more.
The LIFT program, which stands for Learning is Fun Too, was started by John "Dolo" and Mellodye "Sweets" Ragin, who own the studio. Their objective is to change and save lives, and they describe the program as a safe haven.
The program, which runs three days a week, still has openings for kids ages seven to 17.
The program runs until Aug. 22.
