Graffiti discovered at Fairfield American Little League field
Crews in Fairfield worked today to cover up graffiti that was painted at the Fairfield American Little League field behind Mill Hill School.
The word cheaters was painted at least seven times on the dugout, scoreboard and other parts of the field. Crews were able to paint over the messages, and there is no trace of it left.
Fairfield police say they believe someone vandalized the field because of the local Little League's advancement in the all-star tournament. Police say they will look into Fairfield American's past games and see if there were any issues with opposing teams that could help authorities find out who is responsible.
League board member Mike Steed says he can't believe someone would do this to a place where children play and spend their summers.
