Fairfield American Little Leaguers leave for regional tournament in Bristol

The Fairfield American Little League team is headed to Bristol to compete in the New England regional tournament.

A sendoff celebration for the team was held at the Mill Hill Field School this morning.

Winning the state title and going to play in the regional tournament has been a goal for the team since the beginning of the season.

The Fairfield American team is the fourth to win the state final in five years.

If they win, they will move on to the Little League World Series in Williamsport.

Fairfield takes on Vermont in the first round tomorrow night at 8 p.m.
