Lawmakers question Metro-North hike
Gov. Dannel Malloy is joining several lawmakers who are pushing back on a fare hike that is coming down the tracks for Metro-North riders.
Malloy said the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has to explain why it needs tens of millions in added costs to pay to keep trains running on the New Haven line for the next five years. 
Metro-North has said it wants to increase fares in 2015 and 2017.
