Joseph Baker, 1 of 3 suspects accused in Stamford attempted robbery, arraigned
A teen accused of attempting to rob three men at gunpoint in Stamford was arraigned Monday.
Joseph Baker, 19, was one of three suspects arrested in connection with the hold-up. Police say Baker, along with 20-year-old Robert Anderson and another man, tried to rob three Hispanic men early Sunday morning on West Broad Street. Police say the suspects targeted their victims because they are Hispanic.
Baker allegedly pointed a revolver at one of the victims' heads and demanded money. Anderson allegedly told the victims he didn't like Hispanic people and said "they need to be kicked out of the neighborhood."
Baker's bail was set at $100,000. Anderson and the other suspect bonded out. Baker is due back in court next month.
