Many Success Village residents suffer without heat

Officials in Bridgeport say hundreds of people in a housing complex were stuck without heat Thursday.
Many residents at Success Village at Success Avenue and Pearl Harbor Street tell News 12 Connecticut that the temperature in their homes has been as low as 50 degrees. Officials say the cause of the lack of heat in some of the units is due to a problem with the boilers.
Officials say as of Thursday night, four of the five boilers in the apartment complex are now operating.
The head of the complex says he is opening up a heated shelter area for residents who need it.
Some of the residents at the housing complex say they worry about their older neighbors and pets.
Crews are still working to fix the rest of the system.
