Snow falling on southwestern Connecticut

Some light snow will fall and accumulate during the morning commute.

Temperatures are in the lower to mid-20s to start the morning so expect the snow to accumulate immediately on colder surfaces.

There will be a coating to an inch of snow across southwestern Connecticut. Some spots further north can see larger amounts over an inch.

Winds will continue to gust behind the cold front as it clears out.

We will see gradual clearing starting with some fleeting flurries to clouds to sunshine through the afternoon and evening.

Today's high temperature will be warmer close to 33 degrees but wind chills will make this feel between -5 and 5 degrees.

Tonight's lows drop into the teens.

Expect a sunny day for Saturday with a high of 24 degrees.
