Police in Bridgeport are searching for a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery Friday night.

Police say the male suspect was caught on surveillance video entering the Junco's Market Number Four at 891 Noble Ave. and threatening the clerk. 

The suspect is described as wearing a black North Face jacket and white sneakers.

Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the store at 8:42 p.m. Friday. He pointed a handgun at the head of a worker who was stocking a freezer, forced the victim to the ground, and then jumped over the counter.

The thief took about $200 before fleeing on foot, according to police, and no one was injured.

The store owner says he has been robbed several times in recent years.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them.
