Southwestern Connecticut has a winter weather advisory in effect until 1 p.m. this afternoon.
News 12 Connecticut metorologist Johnathan Gonzales says we can expect some icy conditions, especially north of the Merritt Parkway.
Today, expect a light snow mix to rain which could turn over to sleet and freezing rain as the day progresses.
The sleet could stay around into tonight before clearing.
