Stamford police hunt for home invasion links

Stamford police are investigating after a home invasion in which they say a man grabbed a baseball bat to defend his wife and 10-month-old child.

Police say they were called to Mountain Wood Road on New Year's Eve.

Officers say the homeowner heard the suspects and then saw two men wearing dark clothing coming up the stairs.

They say the homeowner yelled at them and threatened them with the bat before the two took off .

Stamford police say they are looking at links to similar crimes, including one in Greenwich.
