Teacher arrested for alleged sexual relationship with student

A Staples High School teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student.



Theron Kissinger, 44, of Southbury, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student whom he was tutoring outside of school.



Kissinger was charged with two counts of sexual assault in the second degree.



He was released after posting a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 23.
