FAIRFIELD -

Fairfield fire officials say a Greenwich man was hospitalized after a chain reaction crash on I-95.

The incident happened on the northbound side of the highway near exit 19, early Tuesday morning.

One car was wedged under a trailer.

State police say the tractor-trailer was stopped on the road due to a separate accident involving a DOT light pole and a number of other vehicles.

Police say that the driver that got stuck under the truck is Tom Barberino, 44, and he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
