Police investigating robbery at Motel 6 in Milford; suspects still on the loose

Suspects are on the loose, and an investigation is underway after an early morning robbery at a Motel 6 on Schoolhouse Road in Milford.

According to police, the suspects entered the motel around 3:30 a.m. looking for a specific room, then robbed the victim and took off.

Police say the victim had been staying at the motel for a while, and was contacted by a female acquaintance who wanted to come over. News 12 Connecticut has learned soon after, three men forced their way in and displayed a handgun. The suspects got away with hundreds of dollars in cash and also the victim's car, but the victim was not injured.

"Clearly an isolated incident because she targeted him," says Officer Mike Devito. "She was an acquaintance and responded right over to his room, so clearly an isolated incident."

Police describe the suspects as young Hispanic males, all nearly six feet tall, and between 150 to 165 lbs.

The suspects were seen driving away in an older black BMW sedan, as well as the victim's car, a 2016 gold Honda Accord with a Connecticut license plate of AF84673.

Police believe the suspects have left Milford, but are still considered armed and dangerous.
