Suspected ringleader arrested in scam involving fake IRS calls

The suspected ringleader in a scam involving fake IRS calls has been arrested.



According to investigators, the scheme involved people from bogus call centers posing as IRS agents. The centers told people they owed back taxes and could be arrested if they didn't pay up.



About 15,000 Americans fell for the scam before it started unraveling in October.
