Benefit luncheon in Bridgeport raises money for woman diagnosed with rare stage four bone cancer

The Bridgeport community held a benefit luncheon to help support a woman battling cancer.

It was held at the Cuban 'Lyceum' of Bridgeport for 'Ileana' Caran.

Caran was diagnosed with a rare, stage four bone cancer last year when she was 20 weeks pregnant.

"It makes me feel very proud that I am a member in this awesome community that's been so giving," says Susie Laffitte, with the Cuban Lyceum of Bridgeport.

The event helped raised money for Caran's medical expenses.
