Stolen car pursuit ends with crash, 2 juveniles arrested

Norwalk police say they arrested two people after a stolen car pursuit ended with a crash early Friday.

Police say a homeowner was woken up to noises of one of the suspects breaking into their car by entering a home via an unlocked door, taking car keys and driving off.

Authorities then spotted the suspects with that stolen car and another stolen vehicle from Fairfield. They attempted to escape until one of the cars crashed into a utility pole around 3 a.m. on Rowayton Avenue in Rowayton.

Two juveniles were arrested, but police say they are searching for more suspects who ran from the scene.

Police were already patrolling the neighborhood due to a spike in car break-ins when they got the call. They remind residents to lock their cars and homes.
