Bridgeport officials to launch anti-littering campaign

Bridgeport officials are launching an anti-littering campaign to improve the community landscape and beautification in Park City.

News 12 is told the campaign is called "Park City Pickin' It Up," and features 100 new garbage cans that will be placed at bus stops, on major streets and outside of local businesses.

"We have to do it together," says Major Joe Ganim. "The best way to get a better city, community and neighborhood is to do it together with everyone pushing and pulling a little bit in the right direction."

The campaign will host a cleanup event on April 22 at 10 a.m. at the Cesar Batalla School.
