Norwalk Community College holds immigration forum

Dozens of people attended a forum on immigration Tuesday at Norwalk Community College.

Some who attended say their concerns have been growing since President Donald Trump took office, and that they are worried about the administration's stances on several key issues.

While the travel bans that the president proposed in the last few months may have both been rejected by federal judges, many residents say it doesn't erase their fears, especially among undocumented immigrants and Muslim communities.

Panelists discussed issues including deportation, travel concerns and the status of refugees.

College school officials say the forum was part of a weeklong academic festival that happens every year.
