Swastika, racist graffiti discovered at Ridgefield High School

A swastika and racist graffiti were discovered at Ridgefield High School last weekend, and some members of the community say dealing with hate symbols is all too familiar.

Back in November, the community held a rally against bias and hate after a swastika was found at Ballard Park.

Congregation Shir Shalom's rabbi says while he doesn't want synagogue members to be frightened, he does want people to take the incident seriously.

"I've been in this community for four years now and we have had a lot more incidents. I think it was always there but what is troubling is that people are emboldened to speak out and act out," he says.

Police would not show News 12 the pictures of the vandalism at the school, citing an ongoing investigation.
