Neighbors report gunshots at Bridgeport complex
Neighbors in a Bridgeport community say they are on edge after hearing gunshots in their quiet area Monday night.
Police were called to an apartment complex at the intersection of Woodmont Avenue and Peet Street around 8:30 p.m.
A witness says a bullet went through one wall, across the room and into another wall. She says plaster splattered everywhere when the bullet came flying in.
"If we had been standing or if they had shot a little bit lower, one of us would have been gotten shot for sure because of where it came in," said the woman.
Bridgeport police have not revealed much information about the incident, including if any arrests have been made.
