State reports uptick in tested ticks with Lyme

Connecticut state officials are reporting an increase in the number of ticks this year.



The state's Agricultural Experiment Station tested more than 200 ticks for the month of March. 



It says the number of ticks carrying Lyme disease is higher than usual.



Health officials say they are urging people to wear insect repellant and check for ticks when spending time outdoors
