Weston firefighters respond to house fire

About 40 firefighters responded to a blaze at a vacant Weston home Friday night.

The flames broke out around 8 p.m. on White Birch Road.

The home's location on a hill made it difficult for firefighters, who had to get water from a lower elevation point.

Officials say the home has been empty for nearly 15 years.

No injuries were reported.

There was no word on what caused the fire.
