Bridgeport woman accused of killing uncle appears in court

A Bridgeport woman facing murder charges in connection with the death of her 61-year-old, disabled uncle, who was in her care, appeared in court Friday.

Police arrested Tynisha Hall, 35, Thursday. She also faces charges of tampering with evidence and interfering with officers during her arrest, although investigators did not offer a motive for the crimes.

Police say Hall was the caregiver for her uncle, Robert Jones, who was found dead at the family's Dover Street home on Feb. 8.

Investigators say the medical examiner reports Jones died of blunt force trauma to the head.

The judge set bond at $500,000. Hall is due back in court April 11.
