State police investigate baby found in reservoir

State police are working to uncover more details about an infant whose body was found in a bag in a reservoir in Harwinton.

The baby was found Tuesday morning by water maintenance workers at Bristol Reservoir Number Four, located off Route 72.

There is still no word on how the baby got into the water, its age and a cause of death.

The state police dive team scoured the waters Tuesday night for more evidence, but nothing turned up.

Harwinton First Selectman Michael Criss says the case hits close to home and that the community is concerned.
