Mayor, PD chief: ICE agents use misleading tactics in Hartford

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents reportedly dressed as police officers in Hartford and attempted to lure an undocumented woman to meet them so they could detain her.

Published reports say she never showed up. The attempt occurred on March 12.

Mayor Luke Bronin reportedly said that the actions of the ICE agents were "misleading" and go against the "common sense of public safety" that the city's officers practice.

A spokesperson for ICE could not be reached for comment.
