Milford preps for rescheduled St. Patrick's Day parade

Milford officials hope the Irish dancers, bagpipers and marching bands will still be able to make their way through their annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

The parade was postponed last weekend due to weather, but Saturday's weather is not looking great either.

The Department of Public Works says roads were pretreated with brine Friday. Workers say that will prevent ice from forming.

The DPW says if it starts to snow during the parade, a truck will be in front of marchers taking care of the route.

Parade organizers say community members are happy to hear there is a plan and that the parade won't be canceled.
