Bridgeport auto glass shop remains open after car drives through window

A Bridgeport auto glass shop was dealt some damage after a car slammed through its lobby Thursday night.

The incident happened at SafeLite AutoGlass, where firefighters say the driver confused the gas pedal for the brake in their vehicle, and drove into the building.

Chairs and plants were destroyed, and skid marks are engrained on the floor, but no one was hurt.

The shop remained open on Friday after firefighters say the building didn't suffer serious damage.
