Crews clear roadways north of Merritt Parkway
Crews were busy Tuesday clearing roadways north of the Merritt Parkway following what's expected to be the season's last big storm.
Route 7 in Wilton was mostly clear by the evening -- a far cry from the slushy mess it was earlier in the day.
Residents like Mike Kennedy, of Redding, enjoyed the snow at first, but lamented the lingering effects of it, such as slippery walkways and roads.
Lundrim Dauti, of Ridgefield, said he needed goggles just to clear the sidewalk during the storm.
Those heading out are urged to be wary of black ice on the roads.
