CT towns prepare for late winter storm

Communities throughout the region spent Thursday preparing for Friday's snowfall.

Forecasters say the fast-moving storm will dump 3 to 5 inches of snow across the area by 2 p.m. Friday.

News 12 reporter Madeleine Rivera was at Hemlock Hardware in Fairfield, where an emergency shipment of shovels, salt and other items will be in stock.

The Department of Public Works in Fairfield has already laid down liquid pre-treater and filled trucks with salt for Friday's storm.
