Weather Update: 2-5 inches of snow expected for CT

Snow is expected to impact this morning's commute.

A winter weather advisory was issued for the area from 10 p.m. Thursday until early Friday afternoon.

The storm will move fast and is expected to dump 2-5 inches of snow across much of the area by 2 p.m. Friday. Areas further north should see about 2 inches or less.

The snow will create slippery and slushy travel.

A few stray lingering snow showers are possible in the afternoon, but conditions are expected to then clear up.

Temperatures will drop significantly Friday night into Saturday morning, causing the snow to freeze.
