CT women raise money for charity in honor of Int'l Women's Day

Several Connecticut women observed International Women's Day by raising money for a charity that helps women prepare for job interviews.

The event was held at The Loft Salon and Spa in Stamford, and raised money for Dress for Success, a charity that provides women in need with professional attire to build their confidence before an interview.

Those who attended were able to view empowering artwork featuring goddesses, and enjoy a presentation on how to use accessories of any color in a business setting.

Several attendees told News 12 that International Women's Day felt more like a celebration than a political statement.
