Irrigation ban in effect for southwestern CT
The Aquarion Water Company, city and town officials met at Uconn Stamford this morning to discuss the state's drought and new orders in place to conserve water.
Southwestern Connecticut has been in a drought since August of last year.
Officials say last week some regulations had been lifted. This means people can now use hoses, power washers, and fill up their pools.
They say an irrigation ban remains in effect, meaning sprinkler systems are still not allowed.
The ban applies to residents in Stamford, New Canaan, Darien and Greenwich.
