Officials probe fire at Stratford bar

Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at a Stratford bar.

The blaze broke out around 8 a.m. Sunday at Rumors Cafe on Barnum Avenue Cutoff.

Fire crews say they believe the fire started in the bar's ceiling. The business was closed at the time of the fire, but News 12 told some staff members were present and were able to safely escape.

Investigators say crews were called to the bar Saturday night for a small fire, and they are trying to determine if that fire is connected to the that broke out Sunday morning.
