Crash into pole in Stamford causes damage to power line

A power line sustained significant damage after an SUV crashed into a pole in Stamford.



The crash occurred near High Ridge near Turn of River Road.



The driver was not seriously injured in the crash, but police say the car hit a high-voltage line that needs to be immediately repaired.



Crews say they power in the area will be turned off until at least 4 p.m.



The area will remain blocked off while work is being done.
