The Pet Animal Welfare Society of Connecticut - also known as PAWS - held a Kitten Shower Saturday in Norwalk.

The event collects food and other items for kittens in need while they are waiting to be adopted. Organizers say the number of kittens available is overwhelming.

Organizers say residents can donate canned and dry cat food, cat litter and nursing bottles.
