Officials: Start preparing for major summer storms in light of Hurricane Preparedness Week

Officials are saying now is a good time to start preparing for any major summer storms that could come Connecticut’s way in light of Hurricane Preparedness Week.
Hurricane season doesn't start until June 1 according to officials, but they want to make sure people give themselves enough time to put a plan in place to protect both their family and property from the effects of a potential tropical storm or hurricane.
The primary temporary shelter in Milford is Jonathan Law High School and should you plan on evacuating, it’s best to pack sleeping gear.
