Forecast: Rain, thunderstorms possible Tuesday

New Jersey saw mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures in the 60s and 70s to start off the work week, but rain and thunderstorms are possible for Tuesday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says temperatures Tuesday will be in the high-60s, with mostly cloudy skies. Gregorio says there is the chance for some afternoon showers or even a thunderstorm. The rain could be heavy at times. Thunderstorms may develop late in the afternoon and evening

Temperatures overnight will drop into the 60s, with lingering storms clearing late into the overnight hours.

Wednesday is expected to see temperatures in the low-80s, with mostly sunny skies.

Thursday should also see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will remain in the low-80s.
