Forecast: Warmer, rainy weekend ahead for New Jersey

EDISON -

New Jersey saw mostly cloudy skies with mild temperatures Friday.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say that the weekend should see warmer temperatures, but rainy conditions.

Friday’s overnight hours should see mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers. Temperatures overnight should be in the mid-40s.

The rain should continue into Saturday morning and is expected to last into the afternoon. High temperatures should be mild at around 50 degrees. 

Weather conditions are expected to remain fairly wet for Sunday with a wintry mix expected for various areas of the state. Forecasters say that northern parts of the state could see a little bit of snow. High temperatures should be in the low-40s.

Temperatures are expected to cool down for early next week, but warm up again by next weekend.
