Forecast: Hot and humid, temperatures reach into the 90s

NORWALK -

Northern Fairfield and Litchfield counties are under air quality alerts Tuesday as temperatures across western Connecticut are expected be hot and humid.

News 12 Connecticut Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says temperatures Tuesday will reach into the 90s, with mostly sunny skies. There is the chance of an isolated thunderstorm throughout the day, but Van Eck expects conditions to remain dry.

Temperatures overnight will drop into the low-70s. There will be some scattered thunderstorms during the overnight hours.

Wednesday is expected to see temperatures in the low-80s, with mostly sunny skies.

Thursday should again see mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be in the high-70s.
