Storm to sweep across CT and drop up to 4 inches of snow; messy commute ahead

NORWALK -

Connecticut is expected to see a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain Thursday which could make a mess of the evening commute, News 12 meteorologists say.

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service and is in effect from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday.

Snow and sleet will hit the region by around 3 p.m., mixing with and changing to cold rain and sleet by 9 p.m. The rain will be heavy through Friday morning and could cause both coastal and local area flooding.
