Stratford police say a body was recovered from the Housatonic River late Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a boater passing under the Devon Bridge spotted the body and called authorities around 4 p.m.
Police soon responded and were able to pull the body from the water.
The medical examiner arrived on scene to try to identify the body.
It is unknown whether the body is that of 26-year-old Tavares Harris, of Florida, who police believe jumped from the Devon Bridge last week.
