A man is in custody following a standoff with police that lasted several hours in Stratford.
It happened this morning around 6:30 a.m. on Pleasantview Avenue.
According to officials, Shelton police were attempting to serve multiple outstanding warrants for the suspect, Bryce Laister, 25, when it all transpired.
Police say Laister had been staying at the home and is wanted for several armed robberies in Fairfield County.
They say after the homeowners let them inside, they made contact with Laister.
That's when police say he barricaded himself in his bedroom and was armed.
No shots were fired, and no one was injured.
Police say more charges for Laister are pending.
