A Bridgeport business owner was violently attacked during a robbery at his store Saturday night.
Layla's Market owner Sha Didar says two men stole merchandise, then knocked him out, leaving him bloodied up and temporarily unconscious.
Surveillance video captured one of the suspects punching Didar in the face, knocking him unconscious.
Didar says he ended up losing enough blood to require a transfusion, and also had to get 10 stitches in his chin and mouth.
The father of five says the attack was particularly devastating since he is celebrating Father's Day and observing Ramadan.
Police chief AJ Perez says he wants the public to see the surveillance video so he can arrest the pair and charge them with assault and larceny.
