BRIDGEPORT -

People in Bridgeport are coming together today to remember a little girl who died in a fire.

The city will dedicate a bench at the Newfield Park Splash Pad to honor the memory of Sincere Pettway.

Sincere was 3 years old when she died in the fire back in January of 2016.

She was living in the house with several other children and her mother.

They all suffered serious injuries, including her mom who was severely burned trying to save Sincere.
